Mental maths

The timer counted back and the minutes rolled forwards When stopped, I’d quickly do the maths Never erring never once getting it wrong For I have always been adept at mental arithmatic. Imagine my embarrassment when after the buzzer had gone my brain (fleetingly) became jelly-like. Three plus five plus seven now made a million.
